Hey guys, hope you are doing well. The main purpose of writing this article is to help you get familiar with so called ‘virtual internship’ program. There are a plethora of websites which provide virtual internships for free. So let us first understand what virtual internship is. Basically, virtual internship is a small kind of program where we are allocated some task to perform. Every company gives different tasks to do. Each task is divided into a module. Every company has its own number of modules. For example, one company has 2 modules while the other has 3–4 depending on how large the task is.

So, I would like to share my experience of virtual internship program. I have also completed 2 virtual internships. I did my internship from the website called ‘insidesherpa’. This is currently the best website to search for internship if you are looking to have some hands-on experience in your area of interest. I did an internship in ANZ in the field of data science and in KPMG in the field of data analytics. By doing this internship I got some idea about the mentioned companies like how they work, what are their requirements and what is the outcome that they are expecting from us.

Now let’s understand how to get started with insidesherpa. First of all you need to create an account on insidesherpa, then you need to look for the company that gives the task in your area of interest. There are a lot of companies that gives an experience of virtual internship like Microsoft, KPMG, ANZ, JP Morgan Chase & Co, Deloitte, etc. In addition, there are many companies that gives internship in digital marketing and many other areas. After selecting the company, you need to register on that company. After registration is completed, they will ask you to join the program. After joining the program, there will be a video of a guide who will help you make understand what task is assigned and how to do it. After completing the first module, you need to submit it and move on to the next one. After completing all the modules you will be given the certificate of completion by the particular company.

The certificates assigned to you will be really very helpful. You can add that certificate in your LinkedIn profile and add your experience in your Resume/CV. The insidesherpa has its own policy which I recommend you to read before uploading your certificate to your profile. I hope it helps you all. I am also giving you the link of insidesherpa to start your virtual internship program.

Feel free to comment any websites you know which gives this kind of internship programs.

THANK YOU and HAPPY LEARNING!!!
